Talking With….. Cat Zavis

Productive dialogue is essential in the Collaborative Practice approach to Divorce.  That requires both self awareness AND genuine empathy for the other person… whether colleague, client or soon-to-be-ex.  I spent some time with Cat Zavis talking about how we can each make that possible during Divorce.

Cat Zavis has upcoming trainings for collaborative professionals, mediators, and parents (among others) to help them navigate conflict (both inner and outer) with greater skill and success:

Cat is offering a FREE teleclass for divorced or divorcing Co-Parents  on Monday, February 10th, 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Pacific Time.  This FREE teleclass, 3 Valuable Keys to Parenting WITH Your Ex Instead of Against Your Ex, will cover the 3 most important steps to freeing yourself from the guilt, disappointment, and resentment of divorce which all get in the way of your relationship with your kids.  You will learn how to not let your Ex “push your buttons” and to put your child’s needs first even when your first reaction is to “get back at your Ex”!  CLICK HERE to register for the FREE call.

Cat is also offering a 6-week program, Parenting with Your Ex: Keep Your Kids Out of the Emotional Crossfire.  The program runs for 6 consecutive Mondays from February 24-March 31 at 5:00-6:30PM Pacific Time.

In this 6-week program, Cat shares the 6 secrets she has discovered that make co-parenting during and after divorce much easier, less stressful and more rewarding. You will learn, among other things, how to (i) stop being drawn into unnecessary battles, (ii) clear your mind to create sound decisions to do what’s best for your children, (iii) shift conversations with your Ex in ways that end power struggles.  To learn more about the program and register, CLICK HERE.

Before taking Cat’s program – Parenting With Your Ex: Keep Your Kids Out of the Emotional Crossfire – I often reacted to emails, texts and phone calls from my soon-to-be former wife and we’d end up in battles and struggles again and again. After just the first call I had the skills to shift our dynamic and create healthier outcomes. … [from] Cat’s program and [I] learned how to respond in a healthier way. I so appreciate the guidance and support I have received from Cat. I have hope that I can co-parent with my former in a healthy way so we can all thrive.”
